Summary: Playdore is a marketplace connecting learners with activity instructors. We collect information to make the platform work, keep it safe, and improve your experience. We do not sell your personal data.
1. Who We Are
Playdore ("we", "us", "our") is an online marketplace that connects users with instructors offering activity-based learning experiences — including dance, sports, music, fitness, wellness, and more. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our platform (website and mobile app).
For questions or concerns, you can reach us at: support@playdore.com
2. Information We Collect
For all users (learners & instructors):
- Name, email address, and phone number (account registration)
- Profile photo (optional)
- Location data — see detailed breakdown below (Section 2.3)
- Device information and IP address
- Usage data — pages visited, searches, bookings made, time spent on the app
2.1 Instructor & Partner Account Data
Instructor and Partner accounts on Playdore require a more detailed set of information for onboarding, identity and document verification, payout setup, and listing. The information collected varies depending on whether the Instructor registers as an Individual or as a Business / Studio. All documents submitted are reviewed by Playdore's internal team — we do not currently use a third-party KYC vendor for this review.
Individual Instructor Accounts:
- Full legal name — as it appears on a government-issued identity document
- Aadhaar card — card scan/image and Aadhaar number, submitted for identity verification. Aadhaar data is handled in accordance with the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 and UIDAI guidelines
- PAN (Permanent Account Number) — PAN card scan/image and PAN number, required for tax compliance and TDS processing on payouts
- Residential address — current home address, used for correspondence and identity verification purposes
- Photograph — a current passport-size or profile photograph, used for identity confirmation and displayed on the Instructor's public listing profile
- Professional certifications and qualifications — scanned copies or images of relevant professional certifications (e.g., fitness coaching or personal training certificates, sports coaching credentials, dance teacher training qualifications, music teaching certifications, yoga instructor credentials, martial arts instructor licences, or other category-relevant qualifications). These are used to inform the listing and, where verified by Playdore, to display a "Verified" badge
- Bank account details — account holder name, bank account number, and IFSC code, used solely to process earnings payouts
Business / Studio Accounts (in addition to or in substitution of the above):
- Legal business name and trade/brand name (if different from the registered name)
- Business registration documents — as applicable to the entity type:
- Certificate of Incorporation (for Private Limited or Public Limited companies)
- LLP Agreement and Certificate of Incorporation (for Limited Liability Partnerships)
- Partnership Deed and registration certificate (for registered partnership firms)
- Udyam Registration Certificate (for MSMEs)
- Shop and Establishment Act registration or equivalent (for sole proprietorships or local businesses)
- GSTIN (Goods and Services Tax Identification Number) — required for businesses registered under GST, for tax invoicing and compliance
- CIN or LLP Identification Number — where applicable, for statutory identification purposes
- Business registered address and operational address (if different)
- Director, partner, or proprietor information — name, designation, and identity documents (Aadhaar and/or PAN) of the primary authorised representative, for KYC and liability purposes
- Trade licence, municipal permission, or activity-specific regulatory licence — where required for the specific type of activity being offered (e.g., a swimming academy licence, a sports facility permit, or an arts education registration)
- Business bank account details — for payout disbursements to the registered business account
Activity Content & Platform Listing Data:
- Photos and videos of classes, training sessions, facilities, and venues — used to populate the Instructor's public listing
- Class descriptions, session formats, duration, skill levels, pricing, and availability
- Social media profiles, website links, or demo videos (optional, for listing credibility and discovery)
- Location of classes or training venues (used for map-based discovery and shown to Users)
How this data is used: Instructor and Partner account data is used to verify identity, assess eligibility for listing on the platform, process payouts, maintain tax compliance records, display listing profiles to potential learners, and to support dispute resolution and regulatory compliance. We may use aggregated or anonymised instructor data for Playdore's own marketing and analytics purposes (see Section 3A). We do not sell instructor data to third parties.
Aadhaar-specific note: Playdore collects Aadhaar details solely for internal identity verification purposes. We do not perform Aadhaar-based authentication via UIDAI's authentication API and do not share Aadhaar numbers or biometric data with any third party except where legally compelled. Aadhaar documents submitted to Playdore are stored in encrypted form with restricted internal access.
2.2 Payment Information
All payment transactions on Playdore are processed exclusively through trusted third-party payment gateways, currently including Razorpay and/or Stripe. These processors are independently PCI-DSS compliant and operate under their own privacy and security frameworks.
Playdore does not collect, store, or have access to any of the following:
- Full credit card or debit card numbers
- Card CVV / security codes
- Net banking credentials or UPI PINs
- Bank account login credentials
- Wallet passwords or authentication tokens issued by payment providers
What Playdore does retain for its own records and legal compliance includes:
- Transaction reference IDs (issued by the payment gateway)
- Booking amounts, currency, and timestamps
- Payment status (success, failure, refund)
- Masked card details (last 4 digits and card type) where provided by the gateway for display purposes only
- Refund records and dispute history
This transactional data is retained permanently as part of financial and booking records, even after account deletion, to comply with applicable accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements under Indian law (including the Companies Act, GST regulations, and FEMA where applicable). You may request a summary of your transaction history by writing to us at support@playdore.com.
For instructors, payout-related bank account information (account number, IFSC code, beneficiary name) is collected solely for the purpose of disbursing earnings. This data is stored in encrypted form and is not shared with any party other than the payment processor facilitating the payout. Instructors may update their payout details at any time through their account settings.
2.3 Location Data
Playdore collects location information to help users discover nearby classes, instructors, and activity venues. We collect location data in the following ways, depending on the permissions you grant:
- Precise GPS location (foreground): If you grant location permission while using the app, we access your real-time GPS coordinates to show you accurately ranked nearby results, map-based class discovery, and distance-to-venue calculations. This data is used only while the app is actively in use and the permission is active.
- Approximate location (foreground): On devices or OS versions where only approximate location is granted, we collect a less precise location (typically within a few kilometres) for the same discovery purposes. Results may be less accurate in this mode.
- Background location: If you grant background location access, Playdore may access your location even when the app is not actively open. This is used for features such as proximity-based notifications (e.g., alerting you when a class you have bookmarked is nearby), location-based reminders for upcoming sessions, and personalised discovery feeds. You may revoke background location access at any time through your device settings. Revoking this permission will disable background features but will not affect core app functionality.
- City / area (manual entry): If you deny all location permissions, Playdore will ask you to manually enter your city or area. This allows us to show you relevant results without accessing your device's location at all. Manual city entry is the minimum input required to use the discovery features of the platform.
How location data is used: Location data is used to match you with relevant nearby instructors and classes, to power map views within the app, to generate personalised recommendations, and to improve the relevance of Playdore's own marketing and promotional content (see Section 3A). We do not share your precise location with third-party advertisers in an identifiable form or track your movements outside of the Playdore app context.
Location data sharing: Approximate location (city or area level) may be shared with instructors to help them understand where their learners are based. Precise GPS coordinates are never shared with instructors, other users, or any third party, except where required by law or in an anonymised, aggregated form for analytics.
Data minimisation: We collect only the level of location precision necessary for the feature being used. You can change your location permissions at any time in your device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy → Location Services → Playdore; Android: Settings → Apps → Playdore → Permissions → Location).
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To connect learners with relevant instructors and classes
- To process bookings and payments
- To verify instructor identity and prevent fraud
- To send booking confirmations, reminders, and service updates
- To provide customer support
- To improve our platform through analytics and feedback
- To send you promotional communications, offers, and marketing messages about Playdore's services, features, events, and partner activities (see Section 3A below)
- To run targeted advertisements and campaigns on third-party platforms (such as Meta, Google, and similar advertising networks) using aggregated, anonymised, or hashed audience data
- To create lookalike or custom audiences on advertising platforms for the purpose of reaching potential users with similar interests

3A. Use of Data for Marketing, Advertising & Promotions
Playdore does not sell your personal data to any third party. However, we may use the information we collect about you for our own marketing, advertising, and promotional purposes as described below.
3A.1 Direct Marketing by Playdore
- We may use your contact information (email, phone number, push notifications) to send you promotional messages about new features, upcoming classes, special offers, events, workshops, and other Playdore services.
- We may personalise these communications based on your interests, booking history, location, and activity on the platform.
- You can opt out of promotional communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email, adjusting your notification preferences in the app, or writing to support@playdore.com. Opting out of marketing does not affect transactional messages (booking confirmations, payment receipts, etc.).
3A.2 Advertising on Third-Party Platforms
- We may use aggregated, anonymised, or hashed user data (such as hashed email addresses or phone numbers) to create custom audiences or lookalike audiences on advertising platforms including but not limited to Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Google Ads, and similar networks.
- This allows Playdore to show relevant advertisements to existing users or to reach new potential users with similar profiles. Your personal data is not shared in a readable or identifiable form with these advertising platforms — only hashed or anonymised identifiers are used for audience matching.
- We may also use tracking technologies (such as Meta Pixel, Google Analytics, or similar tools) on our platform to measure advertising effectiveness, understand user behaviour, and optimise our campaigns. These tools may collect anonymised or pseudonymised interaction data.
3A.3 Behavioural Analytics and Personalisation
- We may analyse your booking patterns, browsing history, search queries, location, and engagement with the platform to build an internal profile of your preferences and interests.
- This profile is used to personalise your experience — including recommended classes, search results, and promotional content shown to you within the Playdore platform.
- We do not sell or license these behavioural profiles to any third party.
3A.4 Partner and Instructor Promotions
- We may use aggregated and anonymised user data (such as area-level demand trends, popular categories, or booking volumes) to support marketing activities in collaboration with our Instructor Partners — for example, helping Instructors understand which areas have high demand for their category.
- We may feature user reviews, ratings, or testimonials (with your name or username as displayed on the platform) in marketing materials, social media, or promotional content. If you do not wish your review to be used in this way, you may contact us to request removal.
- We will never share your personal contact details, booking history, or identifiable data directly with Instructors for their independent marketing purposes beyond what is necessary to fulfil a confirmed booking.
3A.5 What We Will Never Do
- We will never sell your personal data to any third party for their independent use.
- We will never share your identifiable personal data with advertisers in a readable or non-hashed form.
- We will never use sensitive data (health information, government IDs, financial details) for marketing or advertising purposes.
- We will never use data related to minors (under 18) for marketing, profiling, or targeted advertising.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:
- Instructors: We share your name and contact info with an instructor only after a confirmed booking.
- Learners: Instructors' public profile info (name, bio, class details, photos) is visible to all users.
- Payment processors: Razorpay, Stripe, or other gateways as needed to complete transactions.
- Service providers: Hosting, analytics, customer support tools — bound by data processing agreements.
- Legal authorities: When required by law, court order, or to protect safety.
- Collaboration partners and third parties (aggregated data only): Playdore may share aggregated, anonymised, and non-personally-identifiable data with third parties for the purposes of business collaborations, brand partnerships, sponsored events, research, or industry reports. This data is shared only in grouped or statistical form — for example, category-level booking trends, area-wise demand insights, demographic summaries, or engagement metrics. No individual user's personal data is ever shared independently or in an identifiable form under this provision. Third parties receiving aggregated data cannot use it to identify, contact, or target any individual user.
5. Sensitive Data, Health & Safety Disclaimer
Playdore is a marketplace for sports, fitness, dance, and other physical activity-based experiences. Because physical activities carry inherent health and safety considerations, we want to be fully transparent about what health-related information we collect (and do not collect), and what responsibilities users and instructors each hold.
5.1 We Do Not Collect Medical or Health Records
Playdore does not collect, store, request, or process any of the following:
- Medical history, diagnoses, or prescriptions
- Physical fitness assessments or health screening results
- Disability or chronic illness information
- Mental health records
- Biometric data (heart rate, blood pressure, body measurements, etc.) — unless explicitly integrated via a third-party fitness app that you connect and consent to
- Insurance or medical claims data
We are not a healthcare provider, medical service, or health information platform. Nothing on Playdore constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
5.2 Voluntary Disclosure of Health Information
You may, at your discretion, choose to share health-related information directly with an instructor (for example, to disclose an injury, allergy, or physical limitation) through the platform's messaging or booking notes feature. In such cases:
- This information is shared directly between you and the instructor and is not stored or processed by Playdore as part of your profile
- Playdore is not responsible for how instructors receive, respond to, or act on any health information you voluntarily share
- You are not required to disclose any health or medical information to use the platform
5.3 No Assessment of Health Suitability
Playdore does not assess, evaluate, or guarantee whether any listed activity, class, or programme is appropriate for your individual physical condition, age, fitness level, or medical history. We strongly recommend that you:
- Consult a qualified medical professional before beginning any new physical activity, especially if you have a pre-existing medical condition, are recovering from an injury, are pregnant or postpartum, or have not engaged in regular physical activity recently
- Review the activity description, intensity level, and prerequisites listed on each class page before booking
- Inform your instructor of any relevant physical limitations, injuries, or health conditions prior to the start of any session
Playdore's role is limited to facilitating the connection between users and instructors. We are not responsible for verifying that a particular activity is medically suitable for any individual user.
5.4 Assumption of Risk — Participation at Your Own Risk
Physical activities — including but not limited to sports, fitness training, dance, yoga, martial arts, and outdoor pursuits — inherently carry risks of physical injury, including but not limited to: muscle strains, sprains, fractures, cardiovascular events, and other bodily harm. By booking and participating in any activity through Playdore, you expressly acknowledge and accept that:
- You participate in all activities voluntarily and at your own risk
- Playdore is not liable for any personal injury, illness, accident, or death arising from participation in any activity booked through the platform
- You have evaluated your own physical readiness and capacity to participate in the chosen activity
- You understand that instructors listed on Playdore are independent service providers, and Playdore is not an employer, co-instructor, or supervisor of any session
5.5 Instructors Are Not Medical Professionals (Unless Stated)
Instructors on Playdore are activity and skills professionals — not doctors, physiotherapists, dietitians, or mental health practitioners, unless their profile explicitly states a relevant and verified qualification. Any guidance provided by an instructor during a session (including on warm-up, nutrition, technique, or recovery) should not be treated as medical advice. If you experience pain, discomfort, dizziness, or any adverse reaction during a session, you should stop the activity immediately and seek appropriate medical attention.
5.6 Special Populations
If you fall into any of the following categories, you should exercise particular caution and seek medical clearance before booking or attending any activity through Playdore:
- Pregnant individuals or those who have recently given birth
- Individuals with cardiovascular conditions, respiratory conditions, or high blood pressure
- Individuals recovering from surgery, injury, or illness
- Elderly individuals or those with reduced mobility
- Minors (those under 18) — parents or guardians are responsible for assessing suitability and accepting risk on their behalf
- Individuals with diagnosed or undiagnosed physical or mental health conditions that may be affected by physical exertion
5.7 Incidents and Emergencies
In the event of a medical emergency during an activity, participants and instructors are expected to follow standard emergency protocols, including calling emergency services (such as 112 in India) immediately. Playdore does not provide emergency response services. If you experience or witness an incident during a class booked through Playdore, you may report it to us at support@playdore.com. While we take all safety reports seriously and may take appropriate action regarding an instructor's listing, Playdore does not assume liability for incidents that occur during sessions.
5.8 No Liability for Health Outcomes
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Playdore expressly disclaims any liability for:
- Any physical injury, illness, or adverse health outcome arising from participation in any activity booked through the platform
- Any psychological harm, emotional distress, or mental health impact arising from participation in any activity
- Any reliance on instructor guidance that is not based on a formal medical or therapeutic consultation
- Any failure by an instructor to accommodate or act appropriately on health information voluntarily disclosed by a user
This disclaimer does not limit Playdore's liability where such limitation is not permitted by law, including in cases of gross negligence or wilful misconduct on our part.
6. Minors, Children & Guardian Responsibility
Playdore recognises that many of the activities listed on the platform — including sports, dance, martial arts, swimming, and music — are intended for or frequently attended by children and young learners. This section sets out our policies governing the participation of minors on the platform in detail.
6.1 Account Creation — Adults Only
Playdore accounts may only be created by individuals who are 18 years of age or older. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements under applicable law. We do not allow persons under the age of 18 to create accounts in their own name, whether directly or through any workaround. If we discover that an account has been created by a person under 18, we reserve the right to suspend or permanently delete that account without notice.
6.2 Booking Activities for Children — Guardian Model
An adult account holder (parent, legal guardian, or authorised caregiver — referred to collectively as "Guardian") may book activities on the platform on behalf of a child of any age. By making such a booking, the Guardian:
- Confirms that they are the child's parent, legal guardian, or a person with lawful authority to make decisions on behalf of the child regarding participation in activities
- Accepts full legal responsibility for the child's participation in the booked activity
- Consents on behalf of the child to the collection and processing of any information provided in connection with the booking (such as the child's name, age, and any voluntarily disclosed health or special needs information)
- Acknowledges that Playdore is not responsible for assessing whether a specific activity is physically, developmentally, or medically appropriate for the child
- Agrees that the child participates entirely at the Guardian's risk and responsibility, consistent with Section 5.4 of this policy
6.3 Data Collected About Children
Playdore does not collect personal data directly from children. Any data related to a child participant is provided by the Guardian during the booking process and may include:
- The child's first name (used for instructor communication and class attendance)
- The child's age or date of birth (used to verify age-appropriate class placement, where applicable)
- Any health or special needs information voluntarily provided by the Guardian to the instructor (handled in accordance with Section 5.2 of this policy)
We do not create independent user profiles for children. Any child-related data is stored as part of the Guardian's booking record and is associated with the Guardian's account, not the child.
6.4 Parental Consent and Responsibility
By booking an activity for a child, the Guardian provides express consent on the child's behalf for:
- The processing of the child's name, age, and any voluntarily provided information as part of the booking
- The sharing of the child's name and booking information with the relevant instructor to facilitate class participation
- The child's physical participation in the booked activity under the supervision of the listed instructor
Guardians are solely responsible for:
- Assessing whether the chosen activity is appropriate for the child's age, physical condition, developmental stage, and any special needs
- Ensuring the child understands and can follow basic safety instructions relevant to the activity
- Accompanying or arranging supervision for the child as appropriate, particularly for children of a young age
- Promptly informing the instructor of any relevant medical conditions, allergies, disabilities, or other factors that may affect the child's safe participation
- Ensuring the child is aware that the activity may involve physical exertion and inherent risks (see Section 5.4)
6.5 Protection Against Unauthorised Data Collection from Children
In line with the principles of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP), 2023, and consistent with international standards including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), Playdore takes the following measures to protect children's data:
- We do not knowingly allow children to create accounts or submit personal information directly on the platform
- We do not use any child-related data for marketing, profiling, or targeted advertising purposes
- We do not share child-related data with third parties other than the relevant instructor and, where necessary, payment processors for the specific booking transaction
- We do not use child-related data to build behavioural profiles or infer preferences for any purpose beyond the specific booking for which the data was provided
- Child-related data is retained only for as long as necessary to complete the booking, provide the service, and comply with applicable legal obligations (see Section 10 for retention periods)
6.6 Reporting Concerns and Data Removal
If you believe that a child's personal data has been submitted to Playdore without appropriate Guardian consent, or if you are a Guardian who wishes to review, correct, or delete data associated with a child's participation, please contact us immediately at support@playdore.com. We will investigate and, where appropriate, delete the relevant data within 30 days of receiving a verified request.
7. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on servers located in India. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and secure storage for sensitive documents like KYC files.
Despite our efforts, no system is 100% secure. If a data breach occurs that affects your rights, we will notify you as required under applicable law.
8. Your Rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP), 2023, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or outdated information
- Erase your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Withdraw consent at any time (this may affect your ability to use certain features)
- Nominate a person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@playdore.com. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and understand how our platform is used. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings, though disabling some cookies may affect app functionality.
10. Data Retention
Playdore retains different categories of data for different periods of time, depending on the nature of the data, the purpose for which it was collected, and our obligations under applicable law. This section provides a detailed breakdown of our retention practices.
10.1 While Your Account is Active
For as long as your account is active and in good standing, we retain all data associated with your account that is necessary to provide our services. This includes your profile information, booking history, communication records, and usage data. You may update or correct your personal information at any time through your account settings.
10.2 Account Deletion and Post-Deletion Retention
When you request deletion of your Playdore account (through the app settings or by writing to support@playdore.com), the following process applies:
- Immediate deactivation: Your account is deactivated upon submission of a deletion request. You will no longer be able to log in, and your profile will no longer be visible to other users.
- Privacy-related personal data (within 30 days): The following categories of personal data are permanently and irreversibly deleted within 30 days of your deletion request: name, email address, phone number, profile photo, device identifiers, IP address logs, location history, usage and behavioural data, and any voluntarily provided health or preference information. After deletion, this data cannot be recovered — including by Playdore.
- Communication records: Messages exchanged between learners and instructors through the platform are deleted within 30 days of account deletion, subject to any pending dispute resolution that may require their temporary retention.
- Account credentials: Login credentials (password hashes, authentication tokens) are deleted immediately upon account deactivation.
10.3 Data Retained Permanently (Financial & Legal Records)
Notwithstanding account deletion, the following categories of data are retained indefinitely (permanently) by Playdore, as they constitute financial, transactional, or legally mandated records:
- Booking records: All historical booking records including class name, instructor, date, time, duration, and booking status (confirmed, cancelled, completed) are retained permanently as part of Playdore's operational records.
- Payment and transaction records: Transaction IDs, booking amounts, payment gateway references, payment status, refund records, and dispute history are retained permanently to comply with accounting, auditing, and tax obligations under Indian law (including GST Act, Income Tax Act, and Companies Act requirements).
- Invoice and receipt records: Any invoices or receipts generated in connection with bookings made on the platform are retained permanently as financial documents.
- Instructor payout records: Records of payouts disbursed to instructors, including amounts, dates, and bank reference numbers, are retained permanently for audit and compliance purposes.
- Fraud and safety records: Records of confirmed fraudulent activity, account bans, or safety incidents are retained permanently to prevent platform abuse and protect other users.
- Legal correspondence: Any communications related to legal claims, disputes, or regulatory inquiries are retained for as long as legally required.
Where financial records are retained permanently, they are stored with only the minimum personal identifiers necessary for the record to be meaningful (e.g., a user ID or masked contact detail), and are not used for any marketing, profiling, or operational purpose post-deletion.
10.4 Instructor & Partner — Specific Retention Rules
KYC and Identity Documents:
The retention of KYC and identity documents submitted by Instructors is governed by whether the Instructor has received at least one confirmed booking on the platform:
- Instructors who have received at least one confirmed booking: All KYC and identity documents (including Aadhaar, PAN, business registration documents, certifications, and director/partner identity documents) are retained permanently, even after account deletion. This is because the existence of at least one financial transaction creates legal, tax, and audit obligations that require continued access to the identity records of the parties involved — consistent with requirements under the Income Tax Act, GST Act, Companies Act, and applicable anti-money-laundering regulations.
- Instructors who have not received any confirmed booking: If an Instructor's account is deleted and no bookings have ever been completed on their account, their KYC and identity documents may be permanently deleted as part of the standard account deletion process described in Section 10.2, within 30 days of the deletion request. No financial obligation ties these documents to ongoing legal records, so deletion is permissible.
- Instructors whose applications are rejected: Where a new Instructor application is reviewed and rejected by Playdore's team, the submitted documents are retained for a period of up to 2 years from the date of rejection. This retention is maintained for fraud prevention purposes — specifically to detect and block re-applications by individuals or entities that were previously rejected for misrepresentation, ineligibility, or safety concerns. After 2 years, rejected application data is permanently deleted unless a legal hold applies.
Professional Certifications:
- Certifications and qualification documents submitted by Instructors for the purposes of listing and the Verified Badge programme are retained for the duration of the Instructor's active account, and permanently thereafter if the Instructor has received at least one booking (as above).
- Where an Instructor updates their certifications (e.g., submits a renewed or higher-level certificate), the previous version is retained in Playdore's records as part of the verification audit trail.
Bank Account and Payout Details:
- Instructor payout bank details are retained for a minimum of 7 years from the date of the last payout transaction, in line with standard accounting retention requirements under Indian law, and then securely and permanently deleted.
- Where no payout was ever made (e.g., for a rejected applicant or a deleted account with no bookings), bank details are deleted as part of the standard account deletion process within 30 days.
Class Listings and Public Profile Data:
- Published class listings, session descriptions, pricing, photos, and instructor bio information are removed from public view immediately upon account deletion or suspension.
- Aggregated or anonymised data derived from listings (e.g., category-level booking trends, city-level activity demand statistics) may be retained indefinitely for internal analytics, as this data cannot be attributed to any individual Instructor.
- Reviews and ratings left by Users for an Instructor's sessions are retained on Playdore's records even after an Instructor's account is deleted, as they form part of other Users' experiences and booking history. However, they are removed from public display once the associated listing is no longer active.
10.5 Legal Hold
Notwithstanding any of the retention periods described above, Playdore reserves the right to retain any data for longer than the standard retention period if that data is subject to a legal hold — for example, if it is relevant to ongoing litigation, a regulatory investigation, or a law enforcement request. In such cases, data will be retained only for as long as necessary to satisfy the legal obligation, and will be deleted promptly once the hold is lifted.
10.6 How to Request Your Data or Erasure
You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, or request deletion of your account and associated personal data, by writing to support@playdore.com. We will respond to all such requests within 30 days. Please note that data falling within the categories described in Section 10.3 above cannot be deleted as it constitutes legally required financial and compliance records.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Playdore after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
12. Grievance Officer
In compliance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 ("IT Rules 2021") and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP), 2023, Playdore has designated a Grievance Officer to address privacy-related complaints and concerns raised by users in a time-bound manner.
